Description
The United States Coast Guard, MLC Atlantic intends to issue a two-year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract for Fire Alarm/Flooding Systems in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR Subpart 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. The Request for Quotations (RFQ) will be issued on or about June 19, 2002 via the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) web site at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. The RFQ number is DTCG80-02-Q-3FAG87. Hard copies of the RFQ will not be issued. It is incumbent upon contractors to monitor the FedBizOpps site for RFQ release and all subsequent amendments. This RFQ is issued as a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The North American Industrial Classification Code is 334290, and the small business size standard is 750 employees. This acquisition is for Fire Alarm/Flooding Systems to include installation, technical data, and training. These systems will be installed on Coast Guard vessels located in New Orleans, LA; Miami Beach, FL; Portsmouth, VA; and Mobile, AL. The minimum quantity is 1 each and the maximum quantity is 4 each. The Fire Alarm Systems will be ordered by delivery order and delivered F.O.B. destination to the vessels. The initial quantity will be delivered within 45 days after a delivery order is placed. Items shall be packed, packaged, and marked in accordance with commercial standards. The best commercial standard warranty is requested and shall be identified in the quote. All interested small businesses may submit a quote, which shall be considered by the Coast Guard. The government will award a firm fixed price contract resulting from this RFQ to the responsible quoter whose conformance to the RFQ will be most advantageous to the government, price and other factors considered. Quotes are due by July 8, 2002. ATTENTION: Minority, Women-owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE). The Department of Transportation Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
