- NAICS Code: 541620 The U. S. Environmental Protectrion Agency (U.S. EPA) is contemplating a Sole Source award to Austin Environmental Consulting, Inc., for the continuation support for the Gulf States Enhanced Shipyard Stormwater Best Management Practices (BMPs) Initiative.Since various shipyard operations are potential sources of pollutants found in shipyard stormwater discharges, it is important to identify the pollutant types and their potential sources and pathways to estimate pollutant loading from these sources. There are five (5) tasks to be performed under this contract. Task 1) Develop matrix of processes, pollutants and pathways of concern for stormwater discharge. Task 2) The contractor shall provide technical support for the project to enhance BMPs for shipyard stormwater management. Task 3) The contractor shall provide technical direction and support to workgroup participants on creating and recommending changes to current BMPs. The contractor shall review the BMPs for technical adequacy, practicality, cost and impact. Task 4) The contractor shall provide technical support to the workgroup participants in calculations needed in order to validate pollutant reductions to stormwater. Task 5) The contractor shall gather all of the workgroups information and compile a draft of the complete document of the enhanced BMPs along with any supporting documents necessary. This is a Simplified Acquisition with an estimated value of under $100,000. Under the Simplified Acquisition procedures for other than full and open competition authorized by FAR part 6.302-2, is neither a request for proposal nor a solicitation for offers.
