- Description
- This is an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for a competitive firm-fixed price contract. The work includes the demolition, removal, and disposal of various structures at U. S. Naval Station Roosevelt Roads, Puerto Rico, including a concrete pier, asbestos removal and disposal, backfilling, grading and hydroseeding of disturbed areas, and incidental related work. The approximate Solicitation Release Date is 09 August 2002. This solicitation is available in electronic format only with the exception of the drawings. Drawings will be mailed on the release date to all the Companies registered at the NAVFAC E-Solicitation web site below. All documents (except drawings) will be in Adobe Acrobat PDF file format via the Internet. The free Acrobat Reader, required to view the PDF files, can be downloaded from the Adobe website. The official access to the solicitation is via the Internet; the address is http://www.esol.navfac.navy.mil. Contractors are encourage to register for the solicitation when downloading from the NAVFAC E-Solicitation website. Only registered contractors will be notified by email when amendments to the solicitation are issued. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this project is 235940. The Small Business Size Standard is $12,000,000.00. This project is not set aside for small business. Large businesses shall submit a subcontracting plan prior to award of the contract. The apparent successful offeror must be registered in the Department of Defense Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. Award will not be made until this requirement is met.
