- NA This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) as follows. The solicitation clauses and provisions are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-08. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code for this acquisition is 5049 and the North American Classification System (NAICS) Code is 421490. Size standard is 500 employees. The Fort Leonard Wood Directorate of Contracting, Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, intends to negotiate on a sole source b asis under the authority of FAR 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items, the purchase of two sweep monitoring systems manufactured by Engineering Technology Incorporated, Orlando, Florida. The following FAR Clauses shall apply: 52.212-1, Instruct ions to Offerors-Commercial; 52.212-4, Contracts Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items; 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statutes Or Executive Orders-Commercial Items to include items (1), (5), (11), (12), (13), (14), (18), (21 ), and (24); 252.204-7004, Required Central Contractor Registration; 252.212-7001, Contract terms and conditions required to implement statutes or Executive Orders applicable to Defense acquisitions of commercial items to include 252.225-7001. Offerors ar e advised to include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, with its offer. All responsible sources that can provide and meet the above requirements shall submit written quotations by the due date referenced above. All offers received will be considered. It is intended that the award will be issued on a sole source basis because the equipment in only available from the manufacturer with no known resellers.
