Description
Notice of intent to award a sole source contract to San Francisco Bar Pilots, Pier 9 East End, San Francisco, CA 94111. This sole source award will be made for water and land transportation services. The services are to provide water and land transportation to the Coast Guard Sea Marshals. The contractor must have multiple vessels to transport multiple teams of two to six Coast Guard Sea Marshals that may embark from different locations around the San Francisco, San Pablo and Suisun Bays. At least one vessel must be capable of staying on station at the sea buoy, approximately 9 nautical miles west of the Golden Gate Bridge for periods up to 24 hours. This vessel must have adequate berthing and messing capabilities for up to six Coast Guard personnel. All vessels must have Ocean and Coastal Certifications. All vessel must be capable of sustained speeds in excess of 14 knots with a range of 100 NM and shall at a minimum, be capable of transmitting and receiving VHF Channels 12, 13 and 16. Offers must also be capable of transporting the Sea Marshals to their destination. Only one source is currently known, this agency knows no other sources capable of satisfying this requirement. Firms having the capability to provide the required services are invited to submit complete details to the Contracting Officer, via e-mail (jlee@d11.uscg.mil) of by fax (510) 437-3014 within 7 calendar days of this notice. As, a minimum, the following information is required: (a) positive statement of your intention to submit an offer for this solicitation as a prime contractor, (b) evidence of experience in work similar in type and scope to include contract numbers, dollar amounts, points of contact and associated telephone numbers. The contract type is Time and Material. The procurement is unrestricted. The NAICS code is 483212 with a size standard of $20.0 million. The following notice is for informational purposes: Minority, Women-owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE?s). The Department of Transportation (DOT), Short Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
