Description
Intent to issue Sole Source to TRAA The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) intends to enter into a sole source cooperative agreement with the Towing and Recovery Association of America (TRAA), which is the only national professional association for the towing industry, and represents over 32,000 businesses, both large and small. Towing and Recovery Association of America (TRAA), will supply FHWA support for TRAA's Traffic Incident Management Tow Operator Work plan (TIMTOW) initiative which includes the development and distribution of a Traffic Incident Management Guide for the industry. The Guide will be developed by TRAA staff with assistance from others in the industry. The work will be guided by an Advisory Committee of experts on traffic incident management who will map out goals and information required for and industry-wide competency guide in traffic incident management. Any qualified interested parties are invited to submit their written qualifications for consideration. It is anticipated that an agreement will awarded in the month of October 2002. This sole source notification for possible interested parties will only be available electronically at http://www.eps.gov. Accordingly, NO written, telephone, facsimile or email requests for information will be accepted. The actual due date for parties to express interest will be August 16, 2002. It is the responsibility of interested parties to MONITOR the FedBizOpps website at http://www.eps.gov/ for any solicitations or amendments.
