- Description
- The U. S. Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, Midwest Area, has a project entitled Sheep Housing Barn Improvements. The project is located at USDA, ARS, National Animal Disease Center, Ames, Iowa. The work includes, but is not limited to furnishing all labor, supervision, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and other necessary work to modify two existing pre-engineered steel animal housing barns for the installation of roll-up doors, animal penwork and fencing improvements, installation of waterers, and replacement of concrete floors and curbs . All work to be performed in accordance with the specifications and drawings. The period of performance is 150 calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed. Estimated price range: between $100,000 and $250,000. The NAICS Code is 233320 Size Standard is 28.5M. This requirement is solicited on an unrestricted basis pursuant to the Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program. A bid bond, as well as performance and payment bonds shall be required. This solicitation will be issued as an Request for Proposals (RFP) to be issued on or about August 16, 2002, with opening date 30 days later. A site visit will be held: at USDA-ARS-MWA-NADC, 2300 Dayton Avenue, Ames, IA 50010 on August 28, 2002, at 3:00 p.m. (Local Time). All responsible sources may submit a proposal.
