Description
NAICS Code: 334519 The U.S. EPA intends to negotiate on a sole source basis, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, with Horiba Instruments for a Horiba GDC-703 gas divider to be used in automated calibration of an existing Horiba MEXA 7200 DLE gas analysis bench. The nature of the acquisition requires a contractor that possesses the unique capability to supply a gas divider capable of generating 450 cut-points from 0 to 100% of bottle label with an accuracy of +/- 1% of the generated concentration at the cut point. In addition the gas divider must possess the capability to generate cut-points as low as 0.2% of the divided gas bottle label while still meeting the +/- 1% accuracy requirement. Also this gas divider must be compatible with the automated calibration software in the exisiting Horiba MEXA 7200 DLE bench. This software controls an external gas divider, commanding the cut-points that generate varying concentrations for analyzer calibration. Delivery shall be 45 days after receipt of the Purchase Order. This procurement will be accomplished under FAR Part 12 Commercial Procedures. Interested firms may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirements. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Sources wishing to be considered must submit documentation to the office identified above. Documentation must be submitted within 10 days of the date of publication of this notice. Submit your request in writing to Emily Marcil at the above address or by fax 513-487-2107 or by e-mail Marcil.Emily@epa.gov. Telephone requests will not be honored.
