Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis, under authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), with Gamma Metrics of San Diego, CA for the purchase of (1) one Replacement Nuclear Instrumentation Channel NC-5, Base Scope Monitor, Cables and Remote Range Selector Switch.***Sole source determination is based on the need for this Replacement Nuclear Instrumentation Channel NC-5, Base Scope Monitor, Cables and Remote Range Selector Switch to be completely compatible and interchangeable with NIST's existing Gamma Metrics Flux Controller, Model 100474-001. Since the Flux Controller is the heart of the existing Gamma Metrics Wide Range Flux Monitoring System, Gamma-Metrics is the only vendor who can supply this equipment. ***Delivery shall be FOB Destination, Gaithersburg, MD, and is required within 120 days after receipt of order.***The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 334516, and the size standard is 500 employees.***No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, the Government will consider responses received by August 05, 2002. ***A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
