- Description
- This Request for Proposal is for road reconstruction and dam spillway channel rehabilitation in the Mesa Lakes Recreation Area of the Grand Mesa National Forest located in Mesa County, Colorado. The road reconstruction will consist of effort on approximately 620 feet of existing road, to include: widening of 470 feet of the road to 26 feet and surfacing with aggregate; concrete surfaced gabion structure of the remaining 150 feet of road which passes through a wetland area; installation of four culverts. The channel rehabilitation of the spillway is at the Glacier Springs Dam and will include the construction of four weirs, constructed of large rocks, across the channel. The proposed contract is located at the Mesa Lakes Recreation Area off State Highway 65, approximately 10 miles south of Mesa, Colorado and approximately16 miles northeast of Cedaredge, Colorado. The performance period for the proposed contract is 75 calendar days. Performance may not begin before September 3, 2002. The magnitude of the proposed contract is between $100,000 and $250,000. This will be a firm-fixed price contract. The proposed contract is available under full and open competition. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which will be considered. The anticipated date for posting of the solicitation on the Federal Business Opportunities website (www.fedbizopps.gov) is on or around May 30, 2002.
