Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS DO NOT PROVIDE A PROPOSAL AT THIS TIME This is a Sources Sought Synopsis and Request for Information for solicitation F09634-02-0001 To determine interest and capability. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, licenses and other items or services necessary to perform the management and operation of commercial travel services at specific Air Force Reserve Command (AFRC) installations. The contractor shall provide official travel services, to include land and air transportation, rental car reservations and hotel reservations. The locations for the official travel services include Dobbins ARB GA, Westover ARB Chicopee MA, March ARB CA, Homestead ARS FL, Youngstown ARS Ohio, Pittsburgh IAP-ARS PA, Willow Grove ARS PA, Niagara Falls NYand New Orleans LA. The contractor shall manage and operate the commercial travel offices in the facilities provided by the Government. It is the Government's intent to award (what about a mobilization/orientation period) a five year contract (the basic year, a one-year option period and six , six-month option periods). There will be a 30 day orientation period. Each installation will be a separate sub-CLIN to allow flexibility for the implementation of the Defense Travel System (DTS). There will be a clause in the contract stating " This contract is designed to provide interim travel services until implementation of the DTS at individual AFRC locations. No sooner than 60 days after written notice, the Government may remove individual locations from those listed above." For more information regarding DTS, please consult the following website: http:www.dtic.mil/travelink/. Offerors shall propose on all locations. The NAICS code is 561510 with a size standard of $1M. Contractors are asked to submit capability statements expressing interest and intent. The data should include point of contact, business size, common commercial practices, past performance information similar in scope to this initiative, references with phone numbers, and any other pertinent corporate information. The data will be used as part of the market research to determine if this acquisition should be set-aside for small businesses or proceed in an unrestricted manner. It is anticipated that offerors will be evaluated using a Price Performance Trade-off. The Government intends to issue a Pre-solicitation notice approximately 14 Nov 01. Contractors should respond in writing within 10 days of this publication.
