- Description
- The George Washington and Jefferson National Forests anticipate award of a contract for the construction of the Dry River Ranger District Office and Workcenter Administrative Site in Rockingham County, Virginia, outside of Bridgewater. The project includes construction of the 9,278 SF office building, road and site grading for the office and workcenter, and site utilities including water, waste water, electric, telecommunications, and a radio antenna tower. The project estimate is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000 and the project completion date is set for August 1, 2003. The project will be offered on a sealed bid basis with bids due approximately July 3, 2002 at 2:00 PM. Award will be made to the low, responsive, responsible bidder. The project plans and specifications will be available approximately June 3, 2002. The solicitation and specifications will be available on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website at www.eps.gov. Drawings will be available only by hardcopy. There is a non-refundable fee of $35.00 for drawings. Bidders must mail their request for drawings, referencing Solicitation Number R9-ORB-02-2345, with a check payable to * USDA ? Forest Service to: Bonnie Smith; USDA ? Forest Service; 200 Sycamore Street, Room 315; Elkins, WV 26241. Forest Service Specifications for Construction of Roads and Minor Drainage Structures, April 1985, applicable to this project, will be available upon request by mailing a request to address above * or faxing a request to Bonnie Smith at (304) 636-1875.
