- Description
- This solicitation invites proposals for re-roofing/waterproofing of the Manasota, FL MPC located at 850 Tallevast Road. Work shall include roof demolition of EPDM roof, re-roofing with a cold applied modified bituminous roof of approximately 275,000 sq. ft., roof tile repair, painting, and caulking and sealing wall panels, windows and doors. Contractors must be licensed to do work in the State of Florida and will be evaluated based on their experience with phased built-up roofing applications of 200,000 SF or greater (occupied space). The Postal Service intends to award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose proposal conforming to the solicitation offers the best value to the Postal Service, considering price, price-related factors and other evaluation factors specified elsewhere in the solicitation. Minority-owned subcontracting and women-owned subcontracting participation is encouraged. The subcontracting goals for this contract is a minimum of 10% for minority-owned businesses and a minimum of 7% for women-owned businesses in accordance with solicitation Section H.20. Proposal/Bid Bonds are not required, but letters from your Bank & Bonding company ARE part of the evaluation. Performance and Payment Bonds (100%) will be required from the successful offeror within 5 days of Notice of Intent to Award. ****A Preproposal Conference is planned for August 2, 2002 at 9:00 a.m. at the site in Conference Room 943. You are encouraged to attend inorder to inspect roof. Other inspections must be scheduled through James Holland, Manager, Maintenance at 941/359-5160 ? No Collect Calls.
