- REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS: Tree Hazard Assessment for the Presidio of San Francisco Solicitation No. RFP-2002-018 The Presidio Trust, a Federal government corporation and 501(c)(3) organization, is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to complete a hazardous tree assessment of approximately 4,000 to 6,000 trees on the Presidio of San Francisco. [The Presidio is a National Park and a National Historic Landmark]. This assessment will include all trees (over 20 feet tall and 6 inches or greater DBH) that have targets (roads, buildings, trails, etc.) in a specified area. All trees assessed must be tagged with numbered aluminum tags and mapped. All data from the assessment must be placed in an Access database for Presidio Trust use. Also, a review and update of the existing National Park Service Tree Hazard Rating System will be required for this assessment. The Tree Hazard Assessment will be completed within one (1) year of contract award. Estimated start date is late September 2002. Proposals will be evaluated based upon criteria set forth in the Request for Proposals (RFP), including but not limited to: (a) Proposed Price; (b) Experience on projects of similar scope and complexity; and (c) Past Performance, including references. RFP available approx. August 16, 2002 with proposals due approx. September 6, 2002. DATES ARE TENTATIVE AND SUBJECT TO CHANGE. Qualified small businesses are encouraged to respond. The Presidio Trust is a wholly owned federal government corporation and is not subject to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).
