Description
Requirement is to construct 136 Military Family Housing (MFH) units and demolish 64 existing units at Bolling AFB DC. The project consists of furnishing all labor, material, equipment and all necessary site improvements. The work includes all disciplines necessary to complete this project to demolish and replace MFH units. Work shall include the demolition of existing housing units, including asbestos and designated site-work including overhead electrical distribution system and designated underground utilities. New work shall include the construction of housing units to provide a complete and useable facility ready to occupy, landscaping, public space development and associated site-work including underground electrical distribution system and underground utilities. The Request for Proposal (RFP) package will be available for your viewing at our internet homepage for Brooks AFB (http://www.brooks.af.mil) on or about 6 Aug 02, click on Business Opportunities (SARAH), scroll down and click on Brooks AFB, TX ((All Units)). No hard copies of the RFP will be issued. All prospective offerors interested in receiving notification of any changes to the RFP need to register through SARAH. SARAH is the San Antonio RFP Acquisition Highway and is attached to the Brooks AFB homepage. By registering, you will be notified automatically of any changes made to the RFP. The solicitation, plans, specifications or drawings will not be provided in a printed paper format; however, the government reserves the right to revert to paper medium when it is determined to be in the government's best interest. All proposals and other normal documents required for the proposal submittal, including amendments to the proposal submittal, shall be in paper medium. Electronic medium for the proposal submitted documents would not be allowed. Questions or comments to all documents or any areas of this acquisition shall be submitted in writing to the contracting officer, Attn: Mr. Charles T. Wilcox, Jr., faxed to (210) 536-3498 or e-mailed to maria.ng@brooks.af.mil. No telephone requests will be accepted. The magnitude for this project is more than $10,000,000. Performance and payment bonds will be required. The SIC code for this procurement is 233210 and the annual size standard is $27.5M. This procurement is unrestricted. A firm-fixed-price contract is contemplated.
