Description
The Radiation Oncology Branch (ROB), Center for Cancer Research, National Institutes of Health and the National Naval Medical Center (NNMC), Bethesda, Maryland is seeking a contractor experienced in providing radiation therapy treatments and related services to clinical protocol patients at both the Clinical Center, NIH and the NNMC. The treatments will take place on site, using linear accelerators, simulators, and dosimetry equipment. The contractor will be responsible for providing l) radiation therapy, dosimetry, and related professional services as required by the Statement of Work; 2) operating associated equipment in the ROB or the Naval Hospital such as high energy linear accelerators, ration therapy simulators, CT scanners, radiation therapy treatment planning computers, associated dosimetry equipment, medical laboratory equipment and MR imaging equipment; 3) radiation therapy technology and dosimetry services in the ROB, Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 P .M., exclusive of Federal holidays and at other times as deemed necessary; on-call emergency radiation therapy services as well as dosimetry services when required in accordance with established radiation therapy practices; 5) training in-house through participation in seminars provided through the NIH and through other pertinent course work or training. All applicable staff shall have the appropriate board or registry certification as stated in the Statement of Work and meeting the minimum certification criteria. The NAICS Code is 621512 with a small business size standard of $11.5M. This project is being solicited as a cost reimbursement, level of effort contract for a period of five years. The RFP will be issued on or about August 5, 2002 and proposals will be on September 9, 2002. This procurement represents a recompetition of contract number N02-RC-81003. The incumbent contractor is Radiation Management Associates.
