- Description
- The U.S. Coast Guard intends to negotiate and award a firm-fixed price, commercial contract under FAR 6.3 with McClellan Park, McClellan CA, for the inspection, operation, testing, repair and maintenance of fire protection systems, including: deluge systems, wet pipe sprinkler systems, foam water-dry pipe pre-action systems, automatic fire alarm systems and alarm monitoring systems that support USCG Air Station Sacramento. McClellan Park, the local redevelopment authority's business partner under BRAC, will provide all labor, management, tools, supplies, and equipment to support these services since the system is contractor-owned. Period of Performance: 01 October 2001 through 30 September 2002, with three, one-year options. Request for Proposal will be issued on or about August 1, 2001 with a 20-day response time. For informational purposes: Minority Women-owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises, the Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), has a program to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime rates to provide accounts receiving financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000. The applicable codes are: SIC Code 7382 with Size Standards of $9.0 million and NAICS Code: 561621 with Size Standards of $9.0 million.
