- Description
- This synopsis is notification of the Agency intent to extend contract DECA02-96-D-0006 for a period of four (4) months from September 1, 2002 through December 31, 2002, to the incumbent contractor - California Pacific Associates, LLC, 1801 Murchison Drive, Suite 300, Burligame, CA 94010. A competitive contract was originally awarded in December 1995 for supplies and deli-bakery services to commissaries located in Guam, Japan, Okinawa and South Korea. The extension is performed under the same terms and conditions as the existing contract. The contract type is a Firm-fixed Price with an EPA. The extension will provide uninterrupted services of the delicatessen and bakery resale operations at the store indicated above pending the award of the new contract. This action is accomplished under the under the authority cited 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), in accordance with FAR 6.302.1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will satisfy Agency requirements. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition of this extension period would be advantageous to the Government. If no affirmative written response is received, the contract will be extended without further notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this contract extension period based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
