Description

DRAFT PRESOLICITATION NOTICE The Naval Oceanographic Office intends to negotiate and award, on an other than full and open competitive (sole source) basis, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures, a three year requirements contract renewal to Fugro SeaSTAR(UK), Aberdeen. The solicitation is NAICS 334290, Other Communications Equipment Manufacturing, Size Standard 750 employees. The Delivery Order type will be firm fixed priced. The requirement is for WAD/GPS receiver and subscription service. The requirement is for contract renewal for worldwide Wide Area Differential GPS (WADGPS) service. This procurement will supply the necessary subscriptions to keep the 35 NAVOCEANO owned, presently deployed worldwide, WADGPS, receivers activated for a three-year period. The basis for this proposed non-competitive action is that there is only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the requirements of this Command. The original procurement was a competitive action. The intent of this synopsis is for informational purposes only, and is not a request for competitive quotations; no competitive solicitation will be issued.
