- NA The US Army Corps of Engineers, New York District intents to issue an Invitation for Bids (IFBs), in accordance with FAR Part 14, to award a firm fixed contract for the maintenance dredging of Jamaica Bay, New York, Federal Navigation Project, with subsequ ent placement of the dredged material along Breezy Point beach and Roxbury Beach, Queens, NY. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 234990. The size standard is $17,000,000.00. This acquisition is advertised as an unrestricted p rocurement. The estimated cost range of this project is $1,500,000 to $3,000,000. The proposed maintenance dredging of Jamaica Bay will require the removal and placement of dredged material at Breezy Point and Roxbury beaches approximately 300,000 CY. All material is to be dredged from the 20 ft. deep (MLW) section of the channel with a 1 ft. vertically applied allowable overdepth. The successful offeror will furnish all plant, labor, materials and equipment, and perform all dredging, transportation and pla cement of the dredged material along the Breezy Point and Roxbury beaches. Completion date is 75 calendar days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Plans and specifications will be available on or about 1 August 2002. Plans and Specifications may be ex amined at the following locations: This office at 26 Federal Plaza, Room 1831, New York, N.Y. or at the following offices: FW Dodge Company 1221, Avenue of the Americas; NYC Brown's Letters - 63 Stuyvesant Avenue, Lynhurst, NJ. The media selected for the i ssuance of the solicitations and amendments shall be solely at the discretion of the Government; accordingly, the media utilized for this project are the Internet and CD-ROM. Paper copies of this solicitation and amendments, if any, will not be available o r issued. Interested parties may download and print the solicitation, specification files and drawings at no charge at http://nan.usace.army.mil (Contracting). Minimum System Requirements are 486-based personal computer, Microsoft Windows 3.1 or greater, 8 MB application RAM. A registration page is attached to the website and prospective bidders are required to register and to receive notice of any amendments and/or addenda that may be issued to this solicitation. Utilization of the internet is the preferred method, however, CD's will be available upon written request stating the solicitation number, or project name, complete company name and street address (we will not deliver to P.O. boxes), telephone and facsimile number (including area codes). Make check or money order payable in the amount of $10.00 to FAO, USAED, New York. Registration Requirements: DFARS 252.204-7004 Required Central Contractor Registration (CCR) applies to this procurement. Prospective contractors must be registered in the Department o f Defense CCR Database prior to award. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make an offeror ineligible for award.
