- NA This construction project is located at Kirtland AFB, Albuquerque, NM. The work consists of the alteration of Building 1043. This work includes Civil, minor asphalt removal and site concrete. Structural, turned down concrete footings, slab-on-grade, and l ightgauge metal framing to support a metal deck at the new metal roof. Architectural, the work will include selective demolition of walls, doors, and ceilings and interior finishes at Building 1043. New work includes standing seam metal roofing, exterior i nsulation and finish system, suspended acoustical ceilings, aluminum windows, metal doors, and painting. Mechanical work includes but is not limited to selective demolition and new HVAC system: New HVAC unit for heating and cooling, removal of AFF system and installation of wet pipe fire sprinkler system. Electrical work includes but is not limited to interior and exterior lighting with electronic ballasts, and fire protection system. The solicitation will be issued as competitive 8(a) within the state of New Mexico. All New Mexico 8(a) contractors are encouraged to bid. The NAICS code is 233320 and size standard is 27.5 mil. The construction cost range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The performance period is 180 days. Solicitation will be available on or about August 6, 2002. Bid opening is to be determined.
