- This announcement constitutes a Sources Sought Synopsis (SSS). The 311 HSW/YACL, Brooks AFB, TX is seeking sources for VISOR, FLYERS HELMET. Relative NAICS code 313320. Item is used on the HGU-55P helmet for eye protection. Used for day and night missions. Size/Dimensions: MBU-12/P cut. Predominant material: Polycarbonate. Quantity: Best Estimate Quantity (BEQ) is 1548 each. Solicitation will be to award a three-year firm-fixed price requirements type contract to include a (1) one-year basic period with a BEQ of 548; (2) one-year priced option periods with 500 ea BEQ. A first article, 1 lot, consisting of two (2) units is required. DRAWING package applicable to this acquisition. Recommended Source: Gentex Corp. (97427). Waiver of first article approval for offerors who provide proof of having previously furnished production quantities of the same or similar articles to the Government. Firms possessing the capabilities to accomplish requirement are invited to submit a statement of qualification, enclose product information/catalogues, current GSA or other schedule information (if applicable) and price list/schedule.
