- Description
- The FAA intends to purchase one portable, field ready, Thermal Imaging System for Aircraft Nondestructive Inspection (NDI) of corrosion and disbonds damage. The intended sole source for this procurement is Thermal Wave Imaging (TWI), Inc., a Small Business from Ferndale, MI. This company offers the only commercially available system specifically designed for field inspection applications. The unique characteristics of this system pertain to our application in wide area on-aircraft thermographic inspection. Other Small Business Sources believing they can meet the requirements of this procurement are welcome to write this office expressing desire to be included in this acquisition. Merely stating the above will not be sufficient to be included. These Small Business sources will also have to submit a statement of capabilities that will enable us to determine whether it is appropriate for us to allow them to participate. Responses to this announcement will be either! e:mailed to Jose.Benitez@faa.gov or faxed to (609) 485-4088 to Mr. Benitez's attention. Responses will not be accepted after 5:00 P.M. Thursday, July 18, 2002. Telephone requests will NOT be honored.
