Description
The scope of work includes the establishment of a VOR to be constructed on 0.9-acre site at Valley International Airport, Harlingen, Texas. The facility is comprised of a 500-square foot equipment building with an elevated structural steel counterpoise, foundation. The project also includes installation of an access road and Asphlitic concrete pavement, utilities, boring and jacking under Runway 17L and Taxiway ?E/F? , HVAC system, and facility grounding, bonding, and lightning protection systems. The Contractor shall install all conduits, wire ways, grounding electrode, underground electric requirement, panels and any other items for future installation of Engine Generator, automatic transfer switch, load bank, vaporizer and start up services. After the commissioning of the new VOR, the Contractor shall demolish the old VOR including all concrete slabs, fence, gates monitor pole, removing of existing gravel, gravel road, grade and clean up the site. Activities sh! all include associated civil, architectural, structural, heating, venting, and air conditioning, and electrical work necessary to complete the structure as well as related utilities, powerline with manholes, access road, Asphlitic Concrete Pavement, VOR monitor antennas, VOR ?TP? and site improvements as indicated on the drawings and specified herein. NAICS 233320 Range: $250,000 - $750,000 This project is set aside for small business contractors only. The following contractors have been determined to have the past experience necessary to successfully complete this project and will automatically receive a copy of this RFP. Jones Construction General Contractors who are interested in providing a proposal on this project must request the specifications and plans in writing via fax, e-mail or letter not later than 3:00 PM Central standard Time, July 29, 2002. You must demonstrate previous experience in this type of project in order to be determined qualified to bid on this type of project. This must be submitted at the same time with your request to get a copy of this proposal, if not your request will be determined to be non-responsive to this announcement. The Contracting Officer will make the final decision. Any questions pertaining to this announcement need to be in writing.
