Description
The National Institute on Aging, National Institutes of Health, is seeking small business concerns with the capabilities to develop, maintain, and distribute data on the properties of undifferentiated human embryonic stem cell lines. Analysis will include: a) a microarray analysis of growth factors, cytokines, and ECM molecules that are detectable in ES cell cultures; b) a SAGE analysis of ES cell gene expression; c) an immunetyping profile of human ES cell; d) an analysis of differentiation properties of ES cells; e) a karyotyping and FISH analysis of ES cells; and, f) development of a transplant model to assess ES cell differentiation into neural tissue. The Statement of Work for this project is available on this Web site. The NAICS code is 541710, with a small business size standard of 500 employees. Small business concerns capable of performing the work described in the Statement of Work are invited to submit a description of their capabilities and experience to the Contracting Officer at jd93o@nih.gov. Responses are due August 1, 2002, and should be limited to 15 pages. The information provided will assist the Government in determining whether to set aside the acquisition for small business concerns or to solicit offers from all responsible sources.
