- Description
- Notice of Broad Agency Announcement to begin the implementation of GEM, Gulf of Alaska Ecosystem Monitoring and Research Program. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration is issuing a BAA on behalf of the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill Trustee Council and is requesting proposals for any of the topics identified in the Council's invitation. The request encompasses those research topics identified in the "Invitation to Submit Restoration Proposals for Federal Fiscal Year 2003, Phase II". The research topics include cross-habitat tools and strategies (synthesis, modeling, and community involvement), habitat topics and watershed (intertidal/subtidal, Alaska coastal current and offshore). The Trustee Council's "Invitation" was issued on July 15, 2002 and can be downloaded via the web at http://www.oilspill.state.ak.us/admin/index.html. BAA proposal requirements and evaluation factors are included in the BAA; interested parties should request copies of the BAA from the issuing office listed above. Proposals are due on September 4, 2002 at 2:00 p.m., local prevailing time. All interested parties may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency.
