Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Therefore, this synopsis shall serve as a request for quote (RFQ) numbered F193NT20700100. The Air Intelligence Agency (AIA) wishes to acquire the items indicated herein on an ALL OR NONE basis. NO SUBSTITUTIONS ALLOWED. All items are to be delivered to 93IS/J6SA, 102 Hall Blvd Ste 310, Medina Annex, Lackland AFB, TX 78243, Attn: MSgt Terry (210)-671-4402. Delivery is required to start at contract award and be completed no later than 1 year from contract award date. Offerors are required to provide the unit and extended prices, as well course availability for the items listed on the information document at the bottom of this notice. This requirement is NOT set-aside for small business. The North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 611310, $6M in annual gross receipts. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2001-07 (effective 30 Apr 2002). The following provisions/clauses apply to this acquisition: FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors - Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items; and FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statutes Or Executive Orders -- Commercial Items. Designing a Microsoft Windows 2000 Directory Services Infrastructure Number courses needed = 5 This course provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to design a Microsoft Windows? 2000 directory services infrastructure in an enterprise network. Strategies are presented to assist the student in identifying the information technology needs of an organization, and then designing an Active Directory? structure that meets those needs. Designing a Microsoft Windows 2000 Networking Services Infrastructure Number courses needed = 5 This course provides students with the information and skills needed to create a networking services infrastructure design that supports the required network applications. Each module provides a solution based on the needs of the organization. Some Microsoft Windows? 2000 network solutions require a single technology, such as DHCP, to provide Internet Protocol (IP) address configuration support. In other situations, several technology options exist, such as Open Shortest Path First (OSPF), Routing Information Protocol (RIP), and Internet Group Management Protocol (IGMP), to design an IP routing scheme. Designing a Microsoft Windows 2000 Migration Strategy Number courses needed = 4 This course provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to select and design a strategy to migrate from a Microsoft Windows NT? Server 4.0 directory services infrastructure to a Microsoft Windows? 2000 Active Directory? directory service infrastructure by describing the planning processes and implications involved. Basic Administration of Microsoft Windows 2000 Number courses needed = 7 This course provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform administration tasks in a single-domain Microsoft Windows 2000 network. This course is suitable for people with no prior experience in system administration. Microsoft Windows 2000 Network and Operating System Essentials Number courses needed = 7 This course is to provide individuals who are new to Microsoft Windows? 2000 with the knowledge necessary to understand and identify the tasks involved in supporting Windows 2000 networks. This is an introductory course designed to provide an overview of networking concepts and how they are implemented in Windows 2000. Implementing Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional and Server Number courses needed = 4 This course provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to install and configure Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional on stand-alone and client computers that are part of a workgroup or domain. In addition, this course provides the skills and knowledge necessary to install and configure Windows 2000 Server to create file, print, Web, and Terminal servers. Implementing and Administering Microsoft Windows 2000 Directory Services Number courses needed = 4 This course is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to install, configure, and administer Microsoft Windows? 2000 Active Directory? directory services. The course also focuses on implementing Group Policy and performing the Group Policy?related tasks that are required to centrally manage users and computers. Implementing and Managing Microsoft Exchange 2000 Number courses needed = 4 The goal of this course is to teach students the knowledge and skills necessary to install, configure, and administer Microsoft Exchange 2000. Designing Microsoft Exchange 2000 for the Enterprise Number courses needed = 4 This course provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to design a Microsoft Exchange 2000 organization for an enterprise environment. Upgrading from Microsoft Exchange Server 5.5 to Microsoft Exchange 2000 Number courses needed = 4 The goal of this course is to provide students with the essential skills and knowledge required to upgrade from Microsoft Exchange Server 5.5 to Microsoft Exchange 2000, including the issues and procedures related to upgrading, restructuring, and providing coexistence during the deployment process. The course will focus on choosing the appropriate strategy to achieve the Exchange 2000 design, while leveraging the information stored in the existing messaging system. It is assumed that the desired Active Directory? directory service and Exchange 2000 designs already exist. UNIX System Administration Number courses needed = 5 Students will learn how to effectively administer a UNIX system through a series of lectures and hands-on exercises. An in-depth technical discussion is provided on the internals of the UNIX operating system to prepare students for the tasks they will be performing. Laboratory exercises include system startup and shutdown and file system security. Each student will be required to successfully complete a series of unit exercises and a comprehensive module exercise to demonstrate proficiency in system administration. Network Administration and System Installation Number courses needed = 5 This comprehensive module provides instruction on UNIX network administration and installation and configuration of the UNIX system software. Students will learn how to use and administer a TCP/IP network. Topics include how to use the TCP/IP network commands, install the network hardware, configure the network software, establish remote login and file transfer communications between two UNIX systems, and install and configure the network file systems (NFS). Students will also learn how to set up remote line printing, install the UNIX software, and configure hardware devices. Students will be required to demonstrate proficiency by restoring a UNIX system to an operational state, including setting up all terminals, printers, user accounts, network communications, remote line printing, and restoring user data.
