Description

The National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST) has a requirement for a diode pumped sold state laser. Specifications are: 1) 1-Beam pointing stability better than 0.5mrad; 2) Output power 5-6 watt at 532 nm; 3) Single frequency output at 532 nm; 4) Low optical noise; 5)Output power of at least 6 watt at 532 nm; 6) A ring cavity design in order to achieve stable intracavity frequency doubling; and 7) Need a single longitudinal mode sustained in the ring cavity. It is the intent of the Government to award this procurement on a sole source basis under authority of 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1) with Coherent Laser Group of Denver, Co. This procurement is being conducted per FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures (NTE $100,000). This synopsis is issued for information only. No competitive solicitation is planned. No award will be made on the basis of requests in response to this notice. Terms & Conditions and agency level protest procedures can be found on web site http://oamweb.osec.doc.gov/conops/#REFERENCEInformation submitted in response to this notice will be used solely to determine whether or not use of competitive procedures to fulfill this requirement would be in the Government's best interest and must address qualifications pertinent to this requirement. These are the complete specifications and no RFQ is available. All technical questions shall be addressed to Ed Holliness of NIST at 303 492-4021. This RFQ will expire July 26, 2002.
