- Description
- Contractor will be responsible for architectural and refrigeration upgrade of the existing commissary. Phasing of the overall construction work will be required to allow for Grocery operations and sales to remain in full and complete operation during the duration of the contract. The work to be done includes but is not limited to the following: Provide and installed new Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) decor package throughout the Sales Area. Provide new lighting throughout; completely replace the refrigeration equipment including compressor racks, heat recovery for HVAC and domestic hot water, unit coolers, condensers, refrigeration piping, refrigeration monitoring control system (RMCS); replace HVAC and provide additional duct work; plumbing and associated electrical work. Replace sales area gondola shelving, warehouse/receiving doors, and dock levelers. Replace the suspended acoustical ceiling system. Replace the existing VCT flooring at selected locations and some carpet. This project also includes replacement of some walk-in coolers, floors, miscellaneous repairs and wall modification, replacement of rigid wall covering as well as some hazardous material abatement. Time for project completion is approximately 300 calendar days. Offerors are responsible for Periodic Preventative Maintenance (PPM) 30 days after Notice to Proceed (NTP) and will continue 90-calendar after final acceptance of the project. This acquisition is unrestricted. The magnitude of construction is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. Bid guarantee is required. Estimated closing date for offers is on or about 27 Aug 2002. This project will be a Performance Price Tradeoff (PPT) solicitation. Proposals will be evaluated on past performance and price, with past performance being more important than price. All responsible sources meeting the criteria set forth in the RFP may submit an offer, which will be considered by the Government. Telephone request for this proposal will not be honored.
