- Description
- The solicitation will consist of three alternative approaches. Base Project Approach: The project includes the demolition and removal of two wood frame outhouses, installation of cast-in-place concrete vaults and new construction consisting of concrete, heavy timber construction, unit masonry, stone masonry, rough carpentry, architectural woodwork, cementitious roofing shakes, wood doors and frames, hardware, glazing, painting, construction of approximately 18 feet of new trails with geotextile, aggregate base, and surface course. Alternative Approach #1: Install two Cross-linked Polyethelene vaults instead of cast-in-place concrete vaults (750 gal. min.), install french drains and perforated drain pipe to carry surface and subsurface water away from the concrete slabs, and install Number 1 Handsplit and Resawn 18" x 1/2" cedar shakes, instead of cementitious roofing shakes. Alternative Approach #2: Install only one toilet with cast-in-place concrete vault system and no demolition of the second toilet. Specifications will be available on Fedbiz. Drawings will be available from Digital BluePrint (907) 274-4060. Award will be based on availability of funds which are not currently authorized. Funds may be available in the October/November timeframe for award; therefore, proposals must be based on a projected start date of October 2002.
