- Description
- McGuire AFB has the intention of requesting proposals for a requirements type contract for a base year with four option years to perform line striping and rubber removal from the airfield. Work will be on an as required basis. This project includes furnishing all labor, equipment and materials to line stripe and remove rubber on airfields. In general the work will consist of: Line striping in various widths from 4 inches to 36 inches in both reflective and non-reflective paint both with and without layout, painting arrows, letters and numbers, line removal and blackout, painting misc. markings and rubber removal from airfields. The above general description of work does not in any way limit the responsibility of the Contractor to perform all work and furnish all labor, materials, and equipment needed to complete work in accordance with the plans and specifications. Performance period for this project is 365 days for base year. Each option period, if exercised, will be for 365 days. The magnitude of this is between $500,000 and $1,000,000 per year. The proposed procurement listed herein is restricted to 8(a) certified contractors. Award will be made based upon the Best Value to the government using past performance and price. The government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the lowest price offeror. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 23411. Any concerns responding to this solicitation is considered a small business if the annual records of the concern and its affiliates for the proceeding three fiscal years do not exceed $28.5 million. All relevant solicitation documents including specifications will be made available for download exclusively from the internet by accessing the Electronic Posting System (EPS) Website (http://www.fedbizopps.gov) by following the links on the EPS website to: USAF Offices, Air Mobility Command, 305th CONS. Paper copies will NOT be available. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents; and verifying the number of amendments issued prior to the due date for bids. Note to CBD subscribers: you are ultimately responsible for reviewing the EPS Business Opportunities Site for all information relevant to desired acquisitions. All responsible concerns may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. All potential sources must obtain a DUNS number and register in the Central Contractor Register (CCR) in order to transact business with the Department of Defense (DoD). Failure to obtain a DUNS number and register in the CCR may result in the delay of award of a contract or possible award to the next otherwise successful offeror who is registered in the CCR at the time of award. A solicitation will be issued on or about: 26 July 2002. The closing date and time for submission of offers will be contained within the solicitation package.
