- The U. S. Department of Education, Office of Elementary and Secondary Education, intends to award a five-month bridge contract to continue services to assure that eligible children attending private school in the 59 bypassed LEAs in Missouri continue to receive equitable Title I services pending the award of a new contract. The purpose is to provide opportunities for children served to acquire the knowledge and skills contained in the State content standards and to meet the State performance standards developed for all children; to be accomplished through the provision of special educational services such as reading, math, and language arts and other benefits on an equitable basis to those provided to public school students in each bypassed LEA. The opening date is on or around July 25, 2002, closing date August 20, 2002, 2:00 pm. Request for copies of ED-02-R-0018AC may be made by telephone, Internet, mail, telegram or in person. All requests must reference the RFP number and title of the RFP. Mail or telegram request shall be sent to the above address. The Internet address is: http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Copies of the RFP may be picked up in person on the issue date at the same address.
