- Description
- The U.S. Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Marine Fisheries Service, St. Petersburg, FL intends to procure an update on the Conservation Status of the Federal Candidate Species, Fundulus jenkinsi, the Saltmarsh Topminnow with the Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, LA. Update to be preformed by sampling for the species at historical localities where it has been known from based on findings from previous work. Sampling will be concentrated on localities where recent (past 5+/- years) information is lacking for the species. Sampling will start September 2002 and continue through February 2004, with sampling most intense during the spawning season. This notice is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source, the under authority of FAR 6.302 and acquire services under the guidelines of FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisitions. Statutory authority 41 USC 253(c)(1). Interested firms should submit in writing, its name, address, point of contact, telephone number, business size and a brief statement regarding its capability to provide the specified services. Provide the name, telephone number, and point of contact for businesses or other Government agency to which it has previously provided the requested service. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested parties are encouraged to respond to this announcement within 15 days of its publication.
