- SUBJECT: REMOVE ROOF MOUNTED COOLING TOWER AND WATER- COOLED CONDENSING SYSTEM AND INSTALL TWO REMOTE AIR-COOLED CONDENSING UNITS FOR THE CHILLERS, BUILDING NUMBER 1055, NAVAL AIR STATION, JOINT RESERVE BASE, FORT WORTH, TX DESC: This is a REQUEST FOR QUOTES under SIMPLIFIED ACQUISITION PROCEDURES (SAP) (under $100,000.00). Information for this requirement and the Solicitation Package with Specifications will be available on or about July 10, 2002 and you must be registered in the Electronic Solicitation (ESOL) website to obtain information on this procurement. The procurement will be listed under N62467-02-Q-8825 at the web site: http://www.esol.navfac.navy.mil. Estimated price range is between $25,000 and $100,000. The proposed requirement is UNRESTRICTED. The SIC is 1711; the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 235110 (Plumbing, Heating and Air-Conditioning Contractors) - $12.0 Million. The performance period is 60 calendar days including 10 calendar days for bond. The work involves installing 2 each remote air-cooled condensing units for the chillers and removing the existing cooling tower for the chillers. Contractor will retrofit and convert the chillers from water-cooled condensers to air-cooled condensers; removing the existing roof mounted cooling tower, including associated equipment and appurtenances. TELEPHONE REQUESTS FOR THE PACKAGE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Interested contractors are encouraged to attend a site visit scheduled for Wednesday, July 17, 2002 beginning at 10:00 A.M. Texas time. Parties will meet at Building 1215 (ROICC), Naval Air Station, Joint Reserve Base, Fort Worth, Texas fifteen minutes before 10:00 AM (Texas time). To be able to enter the base, the following must be faxed to 817-782-7680 (Attn: Marvelyn Walker) not later than July 15, 2002: Solicitation number, firm name and address, name and social security number of each person requesting entry, WITH A POINT OF CONTACT (NAME AND TELEPHONE) in case of an emergency. All persons must have a valid photo identification (drivers license) in possession. Must show proof of current insurance and registration for vehicle being driven. Contractors MUST be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) prior to award. See Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 28.102-2 for Bond amount requirements. Any amendments issued to this solicitation will be posted solely on the website.
