- Notice of intent to negotiate a sole source contract with the Oregon Dept. of Fish & Wildlife (ODFW) for the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS). Purpose of proposed contract is to provide study of survival of steller sea lion pups at Rogue Reef, Oregon and St. George Reef, California. ODFW has been conducting conducting studies of Steller sea lions in Oregon for twenty years and also have an office within three miles from Rogue Reef where sea lions have been marked and from which the video signal will be transmitted. No other organization or institution with research capabilities is located in the Gold Beach area. The ODFW is the only organization in Oregon which conducts surveys of sea lion abundance in that state. Questions concerning the proposed contract may be directed to Randall Brown. This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated value of less than $100,000.
