- This is a pre-solicitation notice. This procurement is to be firm-fixed price requirements contract for laundry and drycleaning of organizational gear at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot , San Diego, California. This solicitation is issued under the authority of FAR 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items using simplified acquisition procedures. This is only an announcement. Proposals are to be requested and a written solicitation will be issued. The solicitation number is M00681-02-T-0314 and will be issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This procurement is set aside for small business. However, all responsible sources may submit a quotation for consideration. The applicable NAICS code is 812320 and the size standard is $4.0 million. The Federal Supply Classification Code applicable to this solicitation is S209. The requirement is for one (1) base year and four (4) option years. The Government?s need is for the laundering, dry cleaning and pressing of organization property which consists of military uniforms and shooting jackets. Delivery Orders will be issued under this contract on an ?as required? basis. The Government intends to make a single award to the responsible offeror whose offer is the most advantageous to the Government considering price and other factors. Any contract awarded as a result of this solicitation will be a DO rated order certified for National Defense use under the Defense Priorities and Allocations System.
