- Description
- The Department of Energy (DOE) intends to award a purchase order on a sole-source basis to Addressing & Mail Systems under 41USC 252(c)(1) one responsible source. The award will be for the purchase of a Dalatech 24kps Address printer. The printer has to be 1. Self-contained stand-alone unit; 2. Windows based and capable of being networked; 3. Have mail discount capture certification; 4. Able to print out postal discount forms; 5 Have address correction and update capability; 6. Have the ability to spray addresses on a variety of different size mail prices and paper textures; 7. Have on-demand print capabilities; 8. Ability to import and export data from a mainframe; 9. Have mail piece design capabilities; 10. Have color processing capability; 11. Training and assistance must be available locally. This is a notice of intent to award sole-source and is not a request for competitive proposals. Firms who want to challenge the sole-source must submit an interest letter that demonstrates the firm's ability to provide an equivalent item, as described above. Interested parties must provide a price proposal and rationale as to why they should be considered. All interested firms must respond by 5:00p.m. EST, within five (5) calendar days of this notice to: Timothy Jackson, ME-641.2, 1000 Independence Avenue, S.W. Washington, DC 20585. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed commercial item contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
