- Description
- The work includes demolishing and removing Dock A, Marina, as shown in Drawing 1, which shall be attached to the solicitation. The contractor shall demolish, remove and dispose of Dock A in its entirety. Dock A consists of a wooden main dock floating structure (415 ft X 8 ft), 26 wooden floating finger piers, a ladder, and 37 timber piles. The contractor shall remove and dispose of all piles above the mud line. All demolished material shall become the property of the contractor and shall be disposed of off base in accordance with Section 01575 and all applicable Federal, State of Rhode Island and local laws and regulations. The work also includes cutting and capping all utility lines at the closest point to the mainland. The electrical utility shall be capped at the junction box identified by the Public Works engineering Division. The water line shall be capped at the closest point to the mainland. All utility piping and associated material shall be disposed of by the contractor. This is a Firm Fixed Price requirement. On site work shall not commence until 1 Nov 2002. The estimated cost range is $25,000 to $100,000. NAICS code is 235940. Size standard is $11.5 million. The solicitation is issued as unrestricted.
