Description

NA The work to be performed requires the contractor to replace/upgrade Replace existing 15-ton multi-zone unit with three new 5-ton heat pumps with minimum SEER of 13.0 Provide and install heating coils in the discharge air ducts for each of the three units - the heating coils to be heated by the existing boiler, providing supplemental heat. Heating coils shall be hot water type built into each air-handling unit. Each ai r handler shall contain it's own hot water pump. Refrigerant shall be F22. New condenser pads shall be located closer to the building. Provide and install wiring and all other changes to the electrical distribution system for the new units. Provide and ins tall new electronic type thermostats for the new system. Each of the heat pump systems shall have its independent air filter compartment. Face velocity at filters NTE 520 FPM. Provide and install all controls and associated pipe & ducts, replacing deterio rated piping and damaged insulation. Connect to existing EMCS. Clean ductwork and balance airflow after new systems is installed. Relocate waterlines away from current location above main electrical distribution panel. Replace all four 320-CFM centrifugal exhaust fans and associated curbs, dampers, and bird screen. Install vacuum breakers on hose bibs. Submittals to be provided for FMB approval include: heat pumps, exhaust fans, wiring diagrams, duct balance report, proposed relocation of waterlines, and layout drawing(s) of all new equipment. The contractor will provide all labor, supervision, material, equipment, transportation, removal and disposal of materials as required to complete this project. All prospective contractors should be listed in the Central Contractor Registrar (www.ccr.gov). This is an unrestricted solicitation; the NAICS code is 235 110 ($12M). The range magnitude of this project is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. It is anticipated that this project will be awarded as a firm fixed price contract and a copy of Request for Proposal will be available on or about 5 July 2002. Solicit ations will be available only electronically, at http://www.acquisition.army.mil. Faxed proposals will not be accepted.
