Description
NA The Installation Business Office-Contracting, Fort Bragg, North Carolina, intends to issue Request for Proposal (RFP) DAKF40-02-R-0013 for Chiller Refrigerant Retrofit on or after 1 August 2002. The RFP is for the Public Works Business Center at Fort Brag g, North Carolina. This procurement will be solicited on an unrestricted basis and will result in a Firm Fixed Price contract. The project includes the removal of existing R-11 and R-12 refrigerant containing ozone-depleting chemicals (ODC) for nine (9) chillers located in various buildings at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, and replacing with an EPA approved refrigerant. The ODC will remain the property of the Government. The recovered ODC must be properly labeled and turned into the ODC Reserve Depot in R ichmond, Virginia in Department of Transportation (DOT) approved containers specified in the solicitation specifications. This requirement involves alterations to real property on a government installation, and only EPA certified technicians, professional certified Trane, York and McQuay service provider, and associated recovery equipment will be used during the retrofit process. The magnitude of this construction project is between $250,000 and $500,000. A site visit will be conducted prior to receipt of proposals so the potential Offerors may view a sampling of the buildings where the affected equipment is located and review mechanical drawings. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which will be considered. The North American Industry Classifi cation System (NAICS) code is 235110 (SIC 1711) Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning. Upon release to the public, the solicitation will be available via the Internet at the IBO-C web site http://www.bragg.army.mil/www-doc/Contractors/SOLICIT.HTM. Prop osal due date and time will be included in the solicitation. No hard copies of the solicitation will be issued. Offerors are responsible for routinely checking referenced web site for any possible solicitation amendments that may be issued. No individua l notification of any amendments will be provided. It is now a requirement that all contractors doing business with the Department of Defense (DOD) be registered with Central Contractor Registration (CCR).
