Description
NA REFER QUESTIONS ON DISTRIBUTION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS TO THE PLANS ROOM AT (251) 690-2535 OR FAX (251) 694-4343. Specific questions related to this project may be answered by Karen Williams at fax number (251) 690-2327. The Contracting Officer for this project is Mr. Edward M. Slana. Repair POL Tanks corroded areas and internal epoxy paint coating. Repair/Install pipe supports to restrain, not restrict, lateral and vertical movement during filling operations. Install the following, seal welded re inforcement and erosion pads to tank bottom for product receipt line supports, and discharge end of the lines, seal welded striker plates in manual tank gauging area, seal welded reinforcement pads under ladder supports, and safety cages around internal la dders. Clean and re-coat valve pit nozzles at nozzle-to-concrete junction. Perform calibration on all necessary appurtenances and tag appropriately. Repair TRACER Leak Detection's system test stations and perform tightness testing on tanks was as issue and receipt piping. Evaluate and repair all tank and service lines cathodic protection system to provide a minimum negative 850-millivolt structure-to-soil potential. Install 129AF high-level control valves and automatic tank gauging systems on each of t he four tanks. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 23493. Bid documents are available on or about 16 July 2002. Estimated cost of work is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Unrestricted. All responsible sou rces may submit an offer, which shall be considered. Note No. 1: Bidders, subcontractors and Dodge/Plan Rooms are required to self-register their firm or office on the Internet to receive one CD-ROM. Registration should be completed one week prior to the issue date. All notifications of changes to this solicitation shall be made through the Internet only. It is therefore the contrac tors' responsibility to check the Internet address listed above daily, for any posted changes to this solicitation. Actual solicitation amendments will be issued either by fax, posting for download to the aforementioned web page, or CD-ROM. The plans and specifications will be issued on Compact Disc (CD-ROM) only and will be provided free of charge. Plans and specifications will not be provided in a printed-paper format; however, the Government reserves the right to revert to paper medium when it is dete rmined to be in the Government's best interest. NOTE: This solicitation is in .pdf format and requires Adobe Acrobat Reader. Adobe Acrobat Reader may be downloaded free of charge at http://tsn.wes.army.mil/ComSoftware.asp. Note No. 2: All bid forms, b id bonds, and other normal documents required for the bid submittal, including amendments to the bid submittal, shall be in paper medium. Electronic medium for the bid submittal documents will not be allowed. Note No. 3: In Country Contractors may obtai n plans and specifications at the Honduras Project Office. Note No. 4: Prime Contractors proposing under this solicitation must be U.S. Firms, Honduran Firms, or Join Ventures between U.S., Honduran, or U.S./Honduran Firms. Note No. 5: Critical Path Met hod (Network Analysis System) is not required. Note No. 6: For this job, a small business is defined as having average annual receipts of less than $28,500,000 for the past three years.
