- NA The U.S Army Corps of Engineers, New York District is seeking to secure a fixed firm price construction contract for the alteration/replacement of hangar door panels to accommodate new C-17 aircraft aperture, addition of new fire protection equipment room in the northeast corner of the existing aircraft servicing bay, installation of new fire suppression and detection systems, installation of a new fire water supply line from the northwest corner of building 1837 to building 1823, repair of existing pavemen t disturbed during water supply line installation. Asbestos removal may also be included. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York District intends to award a construction contract in response to Invitation For Bid (IFB) Solicitation DACA51-02-B-0019, for the C-17 Interim Fuel Cell (Bldg 1823), McGuire Air Force Base (AFB), New Jersey. This is a Competitive Hub zone Solicitation. The applicable SIC Code is 1541 and the NAICS Code is 233310 with a small business size standard of $28.5 Million. The est imated Construction Cost Range of this project is between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000. The duration of the project is approximately 365 calendar days. The media selected for the issuance of the synopsis/solicitation and amendments shall solely be at the di scretion of the Government; accordingly, the media utilized for this project shall be the Internet. Paper copies of this solicitation, and amendments, if any, will not be available or issued. However, CDs will be available upon written request stating th e Solicitation Number, or Project Name, complete company name and street address (we will NOT deliver to P.O. boxes). Make check or money order payable in the amount of $10.00 to ?FAO, USAED, NY.? Solicitation documents will be available on or about 09 A ugust 2002. Bid opening date will be 30 calendar days following solicitation available date, on or around 10 September 2002 at 2:00 p.m. Bid opening will be held in room 1841 of 26 Federal Plaza, New York. Limited to certified Hub zone firms. Firms not certified will not be considered for award. Project specification files and drawings are portable document files (PDF) and can be viewed, navigated, or printed using adobe Acrobat Reader. Minimum system requirements are 486 Based personal computers, Microsoft Windows 3.1 or greater, 8MB application RAM.
