Description
NA The proposed work includes providing all plant, labor, material, equipment, and services necessary to construct a new vehicle maintenance complex that will include vehicle maintenance bays, workshops, physical fitness area and offices in a single new build ing, a separate covered vehicle storage building and a separate Civil Engineering pavements and grounds storage facility. The existing vehicle maintenance building is to be demolished under this project. This Complex will be constructed at the 158th Fight er Wing, Burlington International Airport, Burlington, Vermont. The project consists of construction of a 27,700 square foot Vehicle Maintenance Complex. This includes a 11,300 SF building that contains a 1,500 SF refueler maintenance bay, 7,300 SF area that contains 4 vehicle maintenance bays, shops, classroom, offices, restrooms and mechanical Room, and a 2000 SF for a physical fitness area. The second building is a 6,000 SF covered Vehicle storage building that contains 14 bays. The third building is a 10,400 SF Civil Engineering Pavement and Grounds Facility that consists of heated and unheated bay area, workshop, restroom and office. Construction will consist of concrete slabs, foundations and spread footings, structural steel framing system, masonr y siding, and insulated translucent wall panels. Exterior to be non-load bearing CMU walls, interior walls to be GWB or CMU. Construction shall be energy efficient to include windows with insulated glazing and thermally broken frame. Roof to be EPDM roof system on insulation over metal decking. Utilities and support facilities including, plumbing, gas-fired heating system, heat recovery ventilation systems, air conditioning, water, electric power, sanitary and storm drainage systems. Asphalt paving and l andscaping is also included. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 233320. The related small business size is $28.5M. The magnitude of construction is $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. Completion date is 300 calendar days from ackn owledgement of the Notice to Proceed. NOTE: Any prospective contractor must be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) in order to be eligible for award. Registration requires a DUNS number and may take up to three (3) weeks to process. Plans and specifications will be available on or about 18 July 2002. Only WRITTEN REQUESTS for s olicitation packages will be accepted. Solicitation packages may be obtained by forwarding the written request and a non-refundable certified check or money order, in the amount of $175.00, made payable to 'Blueprints Etc', to the Vermont National Guard, ATTN: VT-PFO-PC, Bldg. #3, 789 Vermont National Guard Rd, Colchester, VT 05446-3099. Personal and Business checks will not be accepted. Requests shall include contractor delivery address and mailing address. Contractors are to state if they are a women -owned, minority owned, small or large business. Bidder's Mailing List (Plan Holder List) will be provided upon receipt of a WRITTEN REQUEST. Bidder's Mailing Lists will be mailed only (no facsimile copies will be transmitted). This is an unrestricted p rocurement pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, as established by Public Law 100-656, Business Opportunity Development Reform Act.
