Description
SYNOPSIS: Provide all labor, tools, equipment, and materials to demolish one wood pier. The pier is constructed of wood pilings, 2?x12? stringers and 2?x6? decking. All the wood is pressure treated and has tested positive for the Arsenic, refer to section 1.8 for management requirements. The contractor shall remove and dispose of all items attached to the pier that are not pressure treated wood. The Contractor shall place all the pressure treated wood material in the container provided by the Government. The containers are approximately 12 ft wide by 40 ft long and the Government shall remove the full containers and dispose of the contents. The pilings are to either be removed completely or cutoff at least one (1) foot below the mud line. The electrical circuit has already been disconnected. The electrical conduit and wire shall be terminated at least one foot below the ground. The conduit shall be abandon in place and the electrical wire removed. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials and equipment to accomplish the scope of this work and dispose of all debris in accordance with local, state and federal laws and codes. Contractor must follow the USFWS Standard Manatee Protection Measures in attachment. Work shall be performed at U.S. Coast Guard Station Fort Pierce, Fort Pierce, Florida. The performance period is sisty (60) calendar days from award date. The estimated price range is between $25,000. and $100,000. Award will be made to the lowest responsible, responsive quoter. The anticipated award date is July 30, 2002. This solicitation is being issued pursuant to the Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 235940, with a size standard of $12 million. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which shall be considered by this agency.
