Description

The project includes reconstructing approximately 3220 linear feet of trail which includes excavation and removal of the existing trail surfacing and existing wood curbing. The trail reconstruction will include earthwork geotextile covered with 6 inches of base course rock and a 2 inch layer of hot asphalt concrete. The project also includes replacing 125 linear feet of deck planks on existing boardwalks and footbridges as well as replacing the decking on an existing fishing platform. The project area can be reached from Klamath Falls, Oregon by traveling north on U.S. Highway 97 for approximately 22 miles to the intersection of Oregon State Highway 62, then proceed northwesterly 12 miles to the intersection on County Road 623 (Sun Pass Highway). Travel north on this road for one mile to the intersection of Forest Service Road 2300-960, then travel 0.6 miles on this road to the project site. A paymant bond of 100 percent is required. The Government estimate is between $25,000 and $100,000.
