- Description
- This Request for Proposal is for the site work and construction of a 300 square foot trailhead bus shelter and a 500 square foot visitor contact station at Maroon Lake in the White River National Forest, Pitkin County, Colorado. The buildings will be earthen covered for avalanche protection. The project also includes site work, such as, dry stack rock retaining walls, aggregate base, asphalt surfacing, concrete walkways, site furnishings (benches, bicycle racks), and landscaping (earth berming, soil preparation, irrigation, and plantings). The proposed contract is located at Maroon Lake, near the Maroon Lake Trailhead. From Aspen, Colorado, travel approximately 7 miles south on Maroon Lake Road (FDR 125). The project site is located near the end of FDR 125 and adjacent to the restroom facility near the Maroon Lake Trailhead. The performance period for the proposed contract is 120 calendar days. The magnitude of the proposed contract is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. This will be a firm-fixed price contract. The proposed contract is available under full and open competition. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which will be considered. The anticipated date for posting of the solicitation on the Federal Business Opportunities website (www.fedbizopps.gov) is on or around May 7, 2002.
