- Description
- One Dyne System model 8100 vertical eddy current dynamometer system; one Dyne Systems model 66 dry gap eddy current dynamometer system; one Dyne Systems Dyn-Loc IV digital dynamometer controller; and one operator control console. Discussions are being held with Dyne Systems Co., LLC, Jackson, WI since this manufacturer is the only source know who can provide a horizontal/vertical dyne for smaller motor sizes; a large dyne that can be used for testing vertically mounted motors up to 200HP; a digital controller compatible with either unit providing closed-loop control of speed, torque, and current; and a digitally controlled power amplification unit which uses a current-controlled source vice a voltage-controlled source. Deliveries to Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, NH. Solicitation will be posted by 26 June 2002. See note 22.
