- This notice is a combined synopsis / solicitation for commercial items. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). This is a Small Business Set-Aside. All qualified responsible business sources may submit a quotation referencing MDA908-02-Q-0179, which shall be considered by the agency. The Virginia Contracting Activity (VCA) on behalf of the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), seeks to purchase the following items: (10)Garmin GPS MAP 295 (Atlantic Int'l Set), (12)Garmin GPS MAP 295 (America's Set), (8)Garmin GPS MAP 295 (Pacific Int'l Set), (1)Metro-Guide with 16mb Data Card and (30) AC/DC Converters. All interested vendors have 7 days from the posted date of this notice to submit their quotes. The Government intends to award a Fixed-Price order on or about July 1, 2002 to the offeror whose quote is most advantageous to the Government on the basis of price and delivery time. All quotes shall include prices per items, FOB point, GSA schedule number if applicable, business size, DUNS #, Tax ID # and point of contact?s name, email address and telephone number. All items will be shipped to zip code 22312. The provisions in FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items and FAR 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items apply to this acquisition. Interested parties shall email their quotes to Austin A. Thomas at austin.thomas@dia.mil (preferred method Subject line should read MDA908-02-Q-0179) or fax (202)-231-2831. Quotes will only be accepted through these means of communication. It is the responsibility of the offeror to confirm receipt of their quotes.
