Description
The work includes, but is not limited to, the following; Replace and upgrade the Firefighters services for the elevator for Phase 1 & 2 operation as required by the Massachusetts Elevator Code. Smoke Detectors shall be located at each landing and in the machine room. Repair an opening in the elevator shaft wall to return the wall to it?s original fire rating and structural strength. Replace the complete existing fire alarm system, including fire alarm panel and all fire alarm system components to meet current Massachusetts state and local codes. Existing flow and tamper switches shall remain, but shall be rewired to the new Fire Alarm System. This is a Firm Fixed Price requirement. The period of performance is approximately 90 days. The estimated cost range is $25,000 to $100,000. NAICS code is 235990. Size standard is $11.5 million. The solicitation is issued as unrestricted. The approximate solicitation release date is 9 July, 2002. This solicitation will be available in electronic format only. All documents will be in Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) file format via the Internet.
