- Base Maintenance Services. McChord Air Force Base intends to establish a competitively negotiated award term service contract for performing various labor-intensive base maintenance services. Competition for this procurement is limited to eligible 8(a) concerns. There are no geographical restrictions. It is our intent to establish an Indefinite Quantity Indefinite Delivery Award Option Term contract under which task orders for services will be issued. Initial task orders include the following - Furnishings Management, Medical Custodial, and Flight Line Environmental Services all with projected start dates of 1 Oct 02. Task orders for Single Point Entry Control for Airport Access and Postal Services are projected 1 Oct 03, and Base Custodial is projected for 1 Oct 03. Additional task orders for other base maintenance services may be added from time to time during the term of the contract. The proposed contract period is base period with four one-year options, plus a potential four one-year award option periods, for a total of nine years. North American Industry Classification System for this solicitation 561210 - Base Maintenance, gross receipts - $23 mil. Solicitation should be available on or about 21 Jun 02. Electronic copies of the solicitation will be posted on the Federal Business Opportunity web site. The SBA assigned requirement number is 7700-02-202755. Joint Venture Agreements - joint ventures are allowed on competitive 8(a) set-asides, however, the joint venture agreement must be received by the SBA prior to proposal due date and approved before award of a resulting contract. If you are contemplating a joint venture on this project, you must advise your assigned Business Opportunity Specialist (BOS) as soon as possible. It is also recommended that the agreement be submitted as soon as practicable to ensure compliance with established regulations. Any corrections and/or changes needed can be made only when your BOS has adequate time for a thorough review before the proposal due date. NO CORRECTIONS AND/OR CHANGES ARE ALLOWED AFTER TIME OF SUBMISSION OF PROPOSAL. All responsible sources may submit a proposal.
